good idea or bad idea.
first of all, let me mention that i've been working the graveyard shift for a year and a half now, and i recently just quit the job.
i've been unemployed sorta for like 3 weeks now, and i can't sleep at night...
so i decided to try doing something productive, instead of laying in bed attempting to sleep.
ofcourse i only went night jogging once so far. and its great.
no sun slowing you down, and burning you, and i like that not too many people would be looking at you.
yeah i feel silly jogging in the day time, when a bunch of non-joggers are looking at you...
and the night breeze feels nice.
i dunno, im weird like that

I like running at night for the same reasons, I don't think you are weird! :-)0

I work graveyard shift as well. On the weekends that is all I want to do is get out of the house and do something. So I know the feeling very well. I think that is a great idea, just make sure you are running in a well light and safe area (only a suggestion) Just worried for your safety. If you do see anyone out try to jog on the opposite side of the road and always be aware of your surroundings. Outside of the safety issues.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY!0 -
You're definitely not weird. I started C25K at the beginning of the year - with one thing or another I didn't complete the program and stopped running. One of the things that put me off, was the looks I got from other 'runners'. If running @ night means you avoid all that; great!! Just stay safe x0

Love night jogging and walks! I take my dog with me too. When I worked more late nights I used to ride my bike home from work as well. So much better than the subway or cabs, and a huge stress relief and money saver!0

I like jogging at night, and also like to do it in the very early morning, so that about the time I am done, the sun is just starting to rise. The sounds of jogging at those darker hours are really cool, prompting me to not take along any music. The solitude of it is awesome. Happy trails to ya.0

I adore my early morning trail runs watching the sun rise over the mountains reflecting off of the river! There's no one around to watch me but I like that.0
