i find mfp a great website as i have just put myself on a strict diet after a health scare with pnumonia. I find it hard to exercise due to being a paraplegic in a wheelchair but am lifting weights and using a pedalling machine (as if i was using my feet but use my arms to pedal instead) and i am hoping that just this exercise will help and i am making sure i cut out all sugar and butter in the initial week and am keeping my calories below 1500 per day. Am i too strict? i have also stopped smoking at the same time due to health issues. :smooched:

    Sounds like you have a lot going on in your life. With all that's taking place my only suggestion is to check-in regularly with you Doctor so he/she can monitor your progress.

    Welcome!!!.....as I have heard, you may not be able to use the lower half, but the upper half wil be just fine :) This is going to be an amazing journey!!
