HRM for fat loss Question

Hello. I have a question for anyone who has gotten great results for weight loss with a HRM. I have started to use a HRM and I have looked on various sites to see what percentage to keep your heart rate at for weight loss. Some sites say 60-70% and some say 70-80%. Which is better?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The higher your HR the more calories you will burn. HR zones are a crock of S$^t. Yes you burn more calories from fat at lower HR, but way less calories, and less calories from fat for the same length of time exercise.
Think of it this way. The harder you work the higher the HR, the more cals you burn, the more weight you lose, the more "fit" you become, the stronger you get, etc.0 -
I don't really go by the zones or percentages.. I go by how I feel at each heart rate.
I can easily get my heart rate up to 170-180 and feel just fine.. get me into the 190's and thats when I start huffing and puffing.0 -

Not questioning but maybe adding to it. It has always been my understanding the higher heart rate work outs you will burn fat but not loose weight. In other words you will build more muscle and do better heart conditioning. The lower Heart Rate work outs you will only burn fat. Most of my recovery bikes rides where I take it easy is usually where I see the great loss when I am weighing daily.0 -

Not quite, you will burn about 60% of calories from fat at the lower HR, but more like 45% at the higher. When it comes to weight loss it is calories in vs calories out and if you burn more you lose more, as long as your deficit is still reasonable..
That daily weighing results are probably due to water leaving your muscles from higher intensity days, not from losing more fat on your easy days.0
