Hi, I have been here a week and thought it was about time I introduced myself. I am Sandra and I am, well I was looking to lose 80lbs but I got a new body fat scale this week and according to that I am very muscular (something I've always known since I do a lot of weight training) and it looks like I only really have to lose 40lbs! So I'm very happy about that.

Weight loss is a real struggle for me. It seems no matter whether I am high calorie, low calorie, high carb or low carb - exercising or not exercise weight loss is incredibly slow and weight gain is extremely fast. I'm hoping to go the docs soon to check out my thyroid and stuff, make sure there's no medical reason why I'm not losing.

Also I have type 2 diabetes in my family so I check my bg regularly, I think this is probably the real reason I find it hard to lose weight and its made me understand that you can shout and holer as loud as you want about counting calories, exercising and avoiding junk food but for some people its a lot more difficult than just that, unfortunately.

Well enough blabbing... hello from me.
