Does anyone has have a "No liquid calories" rule?

I've tried so many times. All I drink is water and coffee with milk. If I don't have my morning coffee, I'm a BEAST of a human.0
-
The only exception I make is for alcohol, and I also drink less of that than I used to.0

Unless it's booze, I don't drink my calories..i'd rather eat . But every now and then I get a skinny soy vanilla latte at starbucks, it's a treat that i can't refuse when the craving hits but that's less than once a month0

I thikn this is a good rule of thumb. I drink a little bit of creamer in my coffee, I binge drink 2 or 3 times a month (highly caloric Iknow but I balance it out with excercise and lack of food on these weekends, no lectures please), also if Im not feeling well instead of eating Ill have a protien shake before I work out, sometimes my body just cant handle food0

I only drink water and unsweetened tea, with 1 exception skim milk every once in a while. Soda 's just not worth it, I dont drink diet because of the sodium0
-
Ya, I made this same change too basically - only exception being for my protein shakes. Soda was never my thing, but I used to drink sooo much red diamond sweet tea on a daily basis.
Biggest adjustment for me was coffee - I probably had a starbucks (from the store or a frap or something) on a daily basis for the last 10+ years.. went cold turkey on those when I got serious about my strength training, etc.0 -
I geneerally do not take in liquid calories. Sometimes I have a protein shake but otherwise all of my calories are from food.0
-
I never really thought about it, but my liquid calorie intake is minimal.
On a normal day all I drink is water, tea with a little splash of skim milk, or black coffee. As a treat, now and again I'll have diet coke.0 -
Same with me. On a day to day basis it's mainly water with a little Diet Coke. The only exception is once every few months or so when I enjoy a few alcoholic drinks out with friends.0
-
I try not to drink too many but I can't give up skim milk, I love it! That and every once in a while I'll have a soda but I am trying to cut that out.0

Milk in coffee. Otherwise WATER! Its Free! You save hundred of dollars a year!0
-
I have to have milk.
And beer.0 -
I started my fitness routine yesterday and set this rule for myself. It's so easy to pack on calories with soda.
Also, I'm trying to stay away from anything with high fructose corn syrup (commonly used in sodas), as I don't think it's sensible to consume it often.0 -
It's not a "rule" for me, but I don't take in a lot of liquid calories. I was never a soda person, so that wasn't tough. I have a glass of orange juice every morning (100% juice) and sometimes I'll have hot ovaltine in light soy milk or I'll make a chai latte with light soy milk. It's healthy, low-calorie and actually helps curb hunger between meals, so it's worth it.
But I could live without those things just fine, too. I mostly drink water and tea.0 -
I do unless it includes beer0

nope...must have my coffee every morning0

I love coffee, but long ago learned to like it straight, black without sugar. It has like, what, 2 calories in a cup? I don't even count those..0 -
I'm the same way - I don't drink my calories, but I've never been a big soda drinker, so it's pretty easy for me. Once I've had my coffee in the morning, I'm water all day - occasionally an unsweetened iced tea (0 cals) for lunch. As for alcohol, I just have wine, and really avoid the calorie bombs in the Bahama Mama family!0
-
I don't really drink my calories either( I drink mainly water) but I do have a glass milk every day but never drink soda, fruit juice or alcohol unless I'm really craving it.
I am quite addicted to Dunkin Donuts Iced Mocha Coffee.. so that I have every once in a blue moon. I'm also really into Organic Vally Chocolate Milk, but the 5 dollar for half a gallon price tag tends to keep me away from that0 -
I don't drink calories, unless it's protein.0
-
I definitely prefer to eat my calories, except for yummy protein shakes.0
-
I refuse to drink soda. I was really addicted before starting this plan. I used to drink like 5 cans per day. I would literally drink 0 pure water per day. Now I drink only water. If I get bored with water I put a tiny bit of OJ in it or squeeze in some lemon or lime. It seems to be working and the craving are starting to go away.0

starbucks is way too expensive. I'll have the occasional sip of my boyfriends soda but other than that I rather eat than drink0
-
I have this rule, but I'll break it under 'special treat' circumstances and frankly, my special treats are super lame. It's usually a Fuze Banana Colada. 190 calories... first two ingredients are sugar and water. Yeah. Nomnomnom0
-
the only calories i drink is alcohol. but thats if I have enough calories left at the end of the day.0
-
it's not a formal rule for me... but it has turned into my regular choice now... i would WAY rather eat my calories than drink them for sure!
The only thing i drink now is water *L*0 -
Yep, definitely no liquid calories here.
I will now drink vodka if I have a big night out (only once every couple of months, I'm more a village pub kind of girl - sad!) but only if I've saved enough calories for it.
Otherwise diet coke and water only.
I won't drink diet coke on tap in a pub unless I can see which button they press - it's amazing how often the put regular in despite you clearly saying diet!0 -
I drink juice only 2 or 3 times a week, and it's only 4 oz. I count is as a treat. I drink alcohol sometimes, but again, not a lot. I do drink diet coke sometimes.0
