I'm new, just trying to motivate myself to lose some extra weight, and get back into my prime condition. I'm tired of having a bit of extra weight, and I feel like I should motivate myself now before my metabolism slows down even more. I've tried in the past to cut out some calories and go to the gym, but I always seem to falter. I hope with the help from this site I might actually stick with the plan to lose this weight. My goal is a small one, but I really hope I can stick with this and gain good habbits that will keep me from getting more out of control with my eating and exercising habbits.

Here I go, 25lbs to lose. Wish me luck!

    MFP is a great place where you will find a lot of great support! Make lots of friends - they are key to keeping you motivated!

    Also - the forums are a wealth of information. I strongly suggest reading the sticky notes at the top of each category. Also, use the search function - just about every topic under the sun has been covered and you'll glean a lot from Search.

    Good luck to you on your journey - you've taken the first step so now keep putting one foot in front of the other!

    Doesn't matter how much you need to loose (10 or 100 lbs) it's what you will feel best at! I've lost 29 lbs since January (but am new to MFP). Keeping track on MFP of calories and exercise is really helping me with the few additional pounds I need to get rid of. Good luck on your journey.
