Okay so it is the 6th day after having my gallbladder removed and I am sitting here with extreme gas pains and chills and know very soon I will end up in the bathroom. Why, you may ask? Well, because I consumed a cup of DECAF coffee with no sugar and a little Vanilla Almond Milk which is low fat! For me anyways, I think it is safe to say right now Coffee of any kind is out and I LOVE coffee. I am so disappointed by this but it is what it is, and life will go on, even if I may never see a mug of goodness again. *sniffles* LOL Seriously though, other than that I have stuck to a low fat diet thus far and seem okay with that. I eat about 5 - 6 small meals a day. For instance, Breakfast would consist of 1 whole Egg Land's Best egg and 2 egg whites, 1 slice of Butterball Turkey Bacon, and a slice of white bread toasted with PAM butter spray and I am fine with that. Lunch is 1/2 cup of low sodium chunky chicken noodle soup, a half of a turkey sandwich(1 slice of white bread and 1 slice of deli turkey) Dinner is Gorton's Grilled Frozen, Microwaveable Tilapia Fish Fillet or 1 baked, homemade (breaded with Crushed Saltines and Italian Seasoning Breadcrumbs dipped in egg beater's egg)Chicken tender , Steamed Peas or Green Beans, and 1/4 cup of mashed potatoes made with low sodium chicken broth and butter spray and a tad of garlic salt for taste. Hope this helps anyone. I kept searching online for ideas for lowfat meals that are bland but edible and lowfat and didn't find too much. Good luck and take care! ;)
