Is it bad that I only worked out so I could eat more? LOL It has only been 2 days of eating better, but I find that I am very very hungry even after reaching my allowance cap.

I feel a lot more refreshed after doing it and I'm sure it is good that I did it, but I'm thinking maybe I should have wanted to workout for more reasons than just food. :P

Oh well, the point is I did it and now I might actually fit in a snack today! :D I didn't realize that one shrimp tempura roll would kill my calorie count so much and was NOT looking forward to the rest of the day when I saw what it did to my remaining number. O_o

Lol! I have the same feeling.. I haven't missed a day at the gym since I joined mfp because I would be horrified if I had to only eat 1200 calories. But it also is growing on me. I feel stronger and more powerful, so I say whatever gets us to the gym is good!

Think of it as positive reinforcement for acquiring a new habit! Congratulations and enjoy!!

I see no reason for you to feel bad about this. I work out 5 days a week, simply because Id starve otherwise!

It stinks not knowing the cal content until AFTER you eat it LOL...That' s a great incentive to workout though, so you can eat something after lunch time!!

if you find that whatever your calorie goal is set at leaves you feeling hungry all the time, you might have it set too low. aiming to lose 1.5-2lbs a week is generally not appropriate if you don't have a ton to lose.

I don't feel like you should be hungry every day while trying to lose weight. It suggests you might not be eating as much as you should - maybe the calculation doesn't work for your personal body or maybe you have it set too low. then again maybe you aer solving the issue by eating all your exercise calories back.

This is a good point. I am sure as hell not aiming to lose 1.5-2lbs per week! I'd die of starvation LOL. I set it at the recommended 1lb, but if I find that I am still having trouble with hunger next week maybe I should consider dropping down to 0.5lb per week.

I will see if the exercise helps me adjust. If not, I will have to come up with a new plan. I think part of my problem is that I don't realize what things "cost" yet before I eat them. So my first day I wasted calories and carbs on pop and today that shrimp tempura roll killed me. It will probably get better once I start realizing the impact of my choices. :)

LOL true enough. At least I'm not the only one! I looked at the 1280 I'm allowed and went... uhhhh are you serious? Well, okay...

I think it might be better once I learn how to make better choices to begin with. I think I'm going to start inputting my plans for the day ahead of time so I can avoid the "big ticket" items. :P

This is a very good way to look at it! I do see it as a reward to myself and a big one! :D Thank you!!! I'm pretty excited about my new lifestyle. Hopefully, it will stick once school starts again. That will be the real test!

Thank you. :) I just worry what will happen if my new workout "routine" (hey it's one day... so I can't honestly say it is routine yet LOL) gets off track due to school! O_o

I know right???? I think I might try to put things in the night before... BEFORE I eat them. If I am able to, that is. That was a nasty surprise. :P

Very true! I do feel very accomplished and am looking forward to something besides just salad tonight (which was the original plan).
