Healthy Fats

What exactly are "healthy fats"??? I am sure this has been covered before. I scrolled through the forums but didn't see anything right away, and I am feeling a little lazy to continue my search for "healty fats"
I am assuming like the fat in all natural peanut butter and nuts would be considered "healthy fats".
I am also assuming Crisco, Wesson, and kind of cooking oil or substance would be considered UNhealthy fats.....right?
Please humor me, and help me with my dilema!
Thank you in advance!!
Best Wishes~

All fats are healthy in moderation except for trans fats.0

I know things like avocados and nuts have a lot of fat but it is good fat.0

This article from the Mayo Clinic explains it well:

Fats from avacados, nuts, primarily naturally occuring fats in foods.0

You've got it. Basically if it's a manmade fat, it's not good for you. If it's a fat naturally occuring in nature, it is good for you.0

Rule of thumb: GENERALLY liquid fats are ok, GENERALLY solid fats need moderation.
Omega-3 is the one that gets recommended the most for higher intakes.0 -
Often when people talk of healthy fats they mean seeds or nuts and their oils. This includes sesame oil and olive oil
It should also include things like avocado, and oily fish, and probably a few other things I can't remember.0 -
"Healthy" fats?!?!? Who knew???
I'm going to agree with everyone and say that my healthy fats are nuts and oils. Not a fan of avocado (unless it's in a not-so-good-fat guac). I like Newman's olive oil and vinegar salad dressing.0 -

What do you put in your guac to make it "not-so-good-fat"?0
