T1 diabetics - I need suggestions!

I was diagnosed with type 1 about a year and a half ago.

I've been doing more cardio lately and it brings my blood sugar down so quickly! I don't have the pump and I know I can back off of the insulin, and I do, but until I get the right combination, I find that I have to eat just to avoid it being too low.

If anyone has suggestions on low calorie, high carb/sugar foods, please let me know! I hate to do all of this cardio just to have to eat again when I don't want to. Once I find the right combo of exercise and insulin I'll be set, but until then, it's really slowing down weight loss!

Thanks!

My partner has been Type 1 since she was 13. Strength training raises your blood sugar while cardio lowers it. Try mixing in some strength training (It burns fat more than cardio anyway). That's what she does. It may help even out your BS.

Also, keep some glucose tabs on you while doing cardio. You won't have to stop working out in order to take them. Also, keep a spare juice in your gym bag just in case.
