HR Monitors? Best affordable ones?

I have some birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and I would love to purchase a HR monitor to more accurately track my calories and such. I have read alot about HR monitors but I am wondering what you guys recommend. I really don't want to spend over $150 and I have seen them for a variety of prices... what would be a good price in your opinion?

I use a Oregon scientific one that I love. I have had it for about a year now. Polar and bar in make good ones as well with harming being on the upper end price wise.
