I've noticed a lot of people set their profile to "private" so you can't read anything unless you're their friend. That's cool, doesn't matter to me BUT when I get added as their friend one of the 1st things I see on their profile are the instructions to include a message on the friend request. Seriously, if you're profile is set to private nobody can see those instructions!
