Just Getting Real

Do you know how easy it is to fool yourself into thinking you're doing so good that you deserve that Brown Sugar Pop Tart at 9pm? I'm an expert at that. But this morning, I decided it's time to get real. I took horrible awful no-makeup pictures of myself - because that's who I am. I even attempted to try on a pair of jeans that I bought two years ago and still haven't worn. Guess what? I am GOING to wear those jeans for our Christmas photo this year. I AM GOING TO WEAR THESE JEANS! It's time to stop pretending that I'm happy with the clothes I'm wearing now, and time to start getting real about what I really want!
OMG - i am really trying to post the picture but am having a dumb moment. It's on my profile...and here's the link!

I'm a no-deprivation kind of girl but there are still some lines I don't cross, and one of those is pop-tarts. I can handle chinese, KFC, pizza and chocolate, I can even handle having ice cream in the freezer but I cannot deal with pop-tarts. They're one of those things I used to eat a lot when I was heavy and my brain equates them with really bad eating behavior...haven't had one since I started this journey last year...funny.
Anyway, what are you doing for workouts? If you do things at home, may I suggest trying Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zones? Someone brought this DVD to my gym and a few of us do the workout at least once a week and it's a killer! You'll feel it in your legs for days!0 -

I am definitely a gym rat - I can't stand working out at home except for my elliptical trainer because then I can watch all my "trash" TV (think Bad Girls Club, Teen Mom, etc - LOL). I've been running 5x's a week, and also joined a studio next to my gym that offers TRX, yoga, pilates, Bar Works, and spin. That combination should keep my body working out in all different kinds of ways!0
