I am wanting to do some hardboiled eggs and just keep them in the fridge. Makes it easy to just grab and eat.

How long do they keep in the fridge?

How should I store them?

Thanks everyone!

I have kept them for at least a week, in an open bowl.

I've also kept mine for a week in an open bowl. I know they do keep longer once they're cooked.

Just did a quick google search and found that.....

You should store them unpeeled in the fridge and they are good for one week. More information can be found here:

I have stored them longer without any problems, but this is what is recommended so I'd go with that :)

You can store them in a ziplock of water. I've done that and they last more than a week. I'm not sure how long though.

That reminds me to have hubby make me some more (I cannot properly boil an egg to save my life lol)

I do the same. In shell, open bowl in fridge for 5-7 days.

Takes weeks for them to go bad this way, but the longer they are there, the more "off" the flavor. My son keeps them up to 3 weeks; by then they begin to taste like plastic, he says.
  • They can keep up to a week, but any longer than that I wouldn't risk it.

I store them in an egg carton. I also keep them longer than a week but not sure how long. AND I've read that you should store them in a sealed container because they let off smells that can be picked up by other foods but I don't bother.

I keep mine a week I boil about a half a dozen on Sunday and use them throughout the week. I either put themin the carton or leave them in a bowl.

I keep mine for longer than a week but mine are fresh from the hen so that might make a difference.

I've always stored them still in the shell - why would you peel them first? (I'm not criticizing, honestly curious. I've really never heard of this before.)

Glad I found this. I go through about a dozen eggs a week. It's nice to know I can hard-boiled ahead of time and just grab and go.

idk, I have seen bags of peeled hardboiled eggs at the grocery store before. I would imagine without whatever solution they put in it, they would dry out easily.

I do the same. In shell, open bowl in fridge for 5-7 days.

I used to have that problem. I would always bust them. So I found that after the water gets boiling real good turn the burner off and cover the pan for 20 mins and then the eggs will be perfect.
