One of my wonderful sons-in-law, who recently returned from Iraq, told me about MFP. He recently lost tons of weight, mainly through excercise and healthy eating, and has been using MFP to maintain. I was feeling very run-down and losing interest in life. Lots of stressors were adding to the discontent in my personal life. Gaining weight, with "no idead how it was happening." Gained 25 pounds over about a year and felt horrible. Then my Dad passed away in April at the age of 86. His death was due to factors that were not influenced by weight, etc. However, it hit me that this life is not a dress rehearsal and maybe I can do better next time. Decided that the only person who can help me is me and the time is now!
