Dilemma - Need Advice

Okay, so I've not had a great day in terms of calories. I had bunchfast out which totaled to about 850 calories. :noway: But I enjoyed myself. Unfortunately, due to other little things adding up throughout the day, I am out of calories. I plan on doing pilates tonight, but even if I do I will still be over cals by 43.

Here is my dilemma, do I eat a small dinner (I haven't eaten since about 11am), which would probably put me about 200 calories over for the day. Or, do I just suck it up, have a piece of gum, drink lotsa water and wait until tomorrow?

Help!

Eat your dinner. You can't go the rest of the day without eating. Remember you are already operating on a 500 calorie-deficit. It isn't an exact science, a couple hundred calories over is better than under. I do it all the time. Don't start skipping meals as a strategy. :flowerforyou:

oh my gosh girl...of course you want to eat something if you body hasn't had any nutrients since 11.00am! You must be starving...even if you don't know it! I say go for the healthy way and eat a meal...you body will thank you for it...other wise with sleeping you'll be in a serious fast by the time it's morning! Which might lead to binge set....

I say do your excercie and a meal both.... keep it healthy and forget the stuff you ate earlier...you enjoyed it and tomorrow is a brand new day! I go with 5-6 small meals per day to spread them out...actually I call them mini meals since they aren't full cal meals.

Let us know how you're feeling later:drinker:

    Yes ma'ams! :flowerforyou:

When you guys say 'eat dinner' it makse a lot of sense. When I am sitting here saying it to myself, it just sounds like I want to eat. And yes, I am hungry (but its only 6:30 here) I normally try to eat 4 little meals throughout the day, today was just a weird day because I was completely off my routine.

I think I just needed to justify what my tummy was saying, thank you you wonderful ladies. :flowerforyou:

So glad you posted and asked! You're very welcome:drinker: that's what makes MFP so great... we have a place to ask what our mind is telling us and we can check it out if needed:drinker::bigsmile:
  • it's better to go over 200 then to wake up hungry and benge. i always say eat smart youd be suprised how full you can get while staying within you calorie goal, wene you eat smart. for breakfast try fruits and protien like a nut bar or protien bar then for thoes snacks cottage cheese is always good for you, If you skip a meal it will catch up with you. I do know how you feel I was trying to stay around 1200 a day right now im on a 2 week adkins kick thoe, two weeks 20lbs yea. i know its not good thats why only 2 weeks plus the loss slows after that. then itll be back to the 1200 calories. good luck to ya

Yay! The way to lose weight is to eat. Some days we get busy and miss some meals. Some days we eat too many meals. But it is always better to eat. So what are we having?? I think maybe I'll go eat.
