how to get more fruits and veggies?

I am having a hard time eating enough of them or maybe what I would think is enough of them. When I do eat enough of them then I struggle trying to get enough calories because I am full. Then I struggle with to many carbs and not enough protein. I’m really not a shake kind of person to get protein or to put fruit in. I pretty much only eat apples, peaches, tomatoes, and grapes. I like a lot more veggies but just the normal ones (lol). Not really sure what balance of protein, carbs, and fat should be!! Its so confusing!!! HELP! I exercise a lot so netting out at 1200 cals is really, really hard. There is no way to get back exercise cals!! My food dairy is open to friends. some days (like today) i go ahead and log what I think i might eat later so I can see where I am at and what I can improve on!

I try to sneek in a vegetable into most of my meals when I can. If I have manicotti, pizza or a rice meal I chop spinach small and add it in. Spinach salads work too. I love fruit smoothies, I don't like yogurt so I add a small amount of 1% milk with water and add about 1 1/2 cups of frozen fruit and blend. You could eat half a sandwich and add some spinach to it and have some fruit and vegetables on the side. I love to make mashed cauliflower with some garlic salt, butter spray, and onion powder and a little bit of milk to cream it up after cooking. yum! Oh and cold petite carrots with garlic hummus is so good as well. Just experiment and try to keep more portions of veggies on your plate than the rest of your food and you cannot go wrong.0
