So! A bunch of people have told me to try ZUMBA! I'm a mom with a limited amount of time and space! Could my 4 year old (attempt to) do a Zumba DVD with me?!? I would love to have a workout that's fun so that it keeps me motivated! What would be the best Zumba DVD for me (a beginner on a limited budget!)?!?
Thanks for the advice!

Of course! I have taken my 5 year old neice with me a few times and she loves it.
At my gym, they even have Zumba-tomic classes designed for kids -- so we do songs like Monster Mash and Itsy Bitsy Spider..it's a lot of fun
I don't uset he DVD's as I go to a zumba class 5-7x week at the gym.... I love it!0 -
Angela,
Go to YouTube and search out Zumba/Zumba music/Zumba Fitness...basically anything with the word Zumba in it and you will find ALL kinds of videos to learn from and do it....even to popular music...
The DVDs are expensive, about 80 bucks or so....and thew newest ones, Exhilirate, are best compared to the first ones that were out....
Using YouTube, will be your cheapest bet!!0 -
I'm betting your 4 yr old will enjoy it as well...at least some of it...
If you're looking for a class to go to: go to www.zumba.com and look under "find a class" or "find an instructor" and you'll be able to find one near you!0 -
I finally splurged and bought all the dvd's, they were on sale not long ago on amazon. I do them almost every day, and every weekend when I babysit my five-year-old nephew, he dances with me! Sure, he's not thinking about burning calories, but he has fun and afterwards he usually takes a veeerrry long nap/chill-time on the couch. It definitely wears both of us out. Prepare to make a huge snack for her afterwards.0

I really enjoy Zumba I have the 1st set of DVDs and regularly go on youtube for new workouts. My husband likes Zumba and he's like a child at times so I think your daughter would enjoy it. The Zumba live dvd even has kids in the audience doing it. Zumba.com is a great resource for instructors in your area. I found an instructor that works independent of big gyms in my area and she only charges $5/ class and they're all drop in classes!0

Mine are only $3 per class...anyone in the Corinth, MS area can drop in with these!!! I'm independent from a gym..So, no membership fees! You pay as you go!!!0

Im pretty sure Zumba is appropriate for your child. I would also look at your local rec center or just ask around. There are a few Zumba classes where I live that meet once a week for free, so you wouldnt want to pass that up!0

I do zumba twice a week at the gym. It's one of my favorite classes.0
