When I read the nutrient info on a box of pasta, is the serving size referring to uncooked or cooked pasta?? now that I'm starting to count my calories, I want to know how to measure my [pasta correctly. Does anyone know??? thanks!!

the box will report the DRY measurement and its nutrients. Usually 2 ounces or 56 grams.

Generally this will cook up to about a cup of loosely packed pasta.

    hope this helps.
  • most pasta is 2oz dry so when i cook pasta i measure out 2oz if you don't have a scale its roughly a champange flute which is i think 4-6 oz ..cooked...hope that helps

the serving size is measured by weight of uncooked pasta ie 2 oz.... once it's cooked serving sizes are usually measured in volume... ie. 1 cup

Usually the nutritional info on the pasta pack will indicate the serving size as dry or uncooked
