I recently joined but haven't completed my profile/CV.
We use it as a Company to source candidates, clients approach us via it and we've gained new business due to it... Several friends find themselves being approached by headhunters on a regular basis.0 -
Putting LinkedIns on my what? My race car? T-shirt? A sandwich? (Subject line truncated?)
Are you asking about putting a link to your LinkedIn profile on your resume? I think most companies today will search for you on LinkedIn (and Facebook, too - so clean up/hide those drunken party photos!)
I don't see how putting a reference to your LinkedIn profile would make the resume stand out. I would assume an employer will find your LinkedIn profile. But, I don't think it would be a negative, especially if you have some really positive recommendations on LinkedIn.0 -
we were recently required to take photos for proposal submissions...

It definitely helps. I also work in finance and have found that many companies I was interviewing with last year did indeed check out linkedin. I referenced it on my resume and my cover letter. And kennethgreen said, clean up your FB for sure. They ABSOLUTELY check that.0

I am in Accounting. Employers defintely look at your Linkedin Profile. I would keep it as up to date as possible. It is an online resume. You can also leverage your connections for job opportunites. It is also a good idea to get recomendations from people. It makes your profile look better. Someone found me for an internship from my linkedin profile0
