Okay ladies it's that "time of month" again! I was wondering if any of you gain weight during it and about how much you gain? Just wondering, because I think my weight gain may be too much! Thank you in advance

I wish it was only 1-2!!! LOL!!
It's also nice to know I'm not the only one either!!0 -
What is this "time of the month" you speak of? :indifferent:0

I gain anywhere between 3 to 5 pounds!! It's normal to gain from water retention due to your cycle! Funny V44V!!0

I'm usually about 3 lbs. Ugh. I hate it.0

I find I gain weight in the 5 days immediately prior to the start of my TOM, it stays with me and then goes after TOM. I guess we are all different in the way that our bodies respond!0

I don't really gain any weight, just get a bit bloated.0 -
Not much at all actually, goes away after the third day for me. I don't really give into cravings though, I just exercise more than usual.0

I gain anywhere from 3-5lbs with mine, luckily it does't stay on for long!!!0
-
Well ive only had mine for about 20 years now so I dont really have it figured out yet get back to me in 15 more years0
-
Omg, you gain weight? I never do. That would totally freak me out.0
-
I am with you...usually anwhere from 6-8 lbs and as soon as its over (about 5 days) its gone...
And even tho I know this will happen...I still get pissy when it does. :sad:0 -
I always gain 2-3 pounds. I will take a water pill if I feel "terrible". Whenever AF is over, I'm back down, sometimes even less. I hate AF!!!!!0
-
I usually gain 2-3 pounds but it disappears after a few days. The weight doesn't bother me as much as the bloat. Blah.0

Yeah man, I don't know if I gain during it - but how much bigger I look and feel is such a bummer.
Does anyone know if midol helps handle this? their adds say it treats bloating. that seems to good to be true.0 -
Mirena..... no babies. no TOM.0
-
is this one for real? lol0

I gain, though I don't know how much as I've not weighed. I seem to gain around 2 inches on my waist and maybe an inch on the bust, which goes down about 2 days in. I usually find just before I start I get really down about having plateaued and being all fat, then a few days later I make a huge leap down in size/weight, then plateau again for the next month.0

You are probably just retaining water. The bloating some experience is from retaining water. You will find it goes away soon after that lovely monthly experience leaves you.0

and once you think you've figured it out, it all changes. I thought my sister was teasing me when she told me that, but as usual, Big sister knows...0 -
I too have the mirena, so not much of a period. Prior to kids, I would gain a MINIMUM of 5 lbs and eat like a horse, that's not even including the cravings!0
-
I used to get mega cravings and eat more, but the last couple of months its not been too bad since ive been more consistent with taking evening primrose oil0
