What to watch Fat Grams or Calories??

Which is more important to keep a closer watch on your fat gram intake or your calorie intake? I'm having trouble keeping my fat grams around 22 -25 while getting my calories up to 1200 so I don't get that message about putting my body into starvation mode.

Count calories. Many studies have been done that prove that low fat diets do not work.0

If you watch the calories and exercise/workout regularly, your body will burn the fat (rather than store it for later), making it a mute point.0

Watch your calories. You also need to keep in mind that there is good and bad fat, so it's not like all the fat you're consuming is bad for you. If you're not eating healthy fats ( i.e. nuts, oils, avocados, etc.) and you KNOW that it's all bad fat, then I'd make some tweeks. However, watching your calories is what's best. Once you've gotten a hang of that, then concentrate on another area. It is important though to watch your sodium as well, but if you drink tons of water, it's not as big of a deal. Good luck!0

Fats are good for you and you need them, stay low on saturated and trans and your good, the poly and mono from olive oils, nuts ect are good for you.0
