Reebok runtones...painful????

Hey so I bought the reebok runtones about a week ago for c25k if anyone has not heard of it, it's awesome! But anyways since I've been running in them they've caused me significant pain in the ball of each foot during the runs. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm wondering if I should just give up on these shoes or if it gets better with time? It got so bad tonight I literally had to quit running and walk. Also if these don't work out any recommendations on good running shoes for flat feet and knee issues would be great. Thanks!!!!

IMHO anything that purposely creates an instability in your posture/stride while you are running (moving in general) is bad news. Every person I know that has worn any of these "easy tone" type of shoes has ended up with serious muscle strains and injuries. Ditch them and head to a running shop that can help you find a pair of shoes that suit your stride as well as your feet/knee concerns.0

I thought they were painful too...not sure if it's because I need more arch support, but I find the sketcher shape ups way more comfortable, though I don't run in those. I stick to my asics for running.0

You need to get to a running store and have them fit you for running shoes, don't go by random suggestions from people. They analyze the way you run and get you shoes that will help give you the maximum stability and comfort. I did this a couple weeks ago (I'm doing C25k myself, on week 3 now) and my feet are thanking me! Makes it feel like I'm running on clouds compared to the clunky Adidas trail runners I had before.0

Hey,
Firstly and foremost good running shoes will make a WORLD of a difference. They only way to really know what shoe is best for you is to go to a running shoe speciality store and have a professional work with you. Personally I love Muzuno and I use the Wave Runner and Waver Creation lines. However that being said, when I switched over to Muzuno it took time for my feet to adjust to the new show. They KILLED my feet for at least the first 5-6 runs. However after that my feet were use to the new shoe and it was and is still happy sailing hope that helps.

i have a pair of Easytones... i don't run in them, but, have worn them every day for about 3 weeks now, and have done lots of walking in them... and, yes, they took a bit of getting used to, but, i LOVE them...
that's me though, every foot is created differently.0 -
I love my runtones! I can say it took me a while to get used to them but now I can't live without them. I even tried the reebok flex and I keep on going back to the runtones. It gives me tons of support. I never did experience any pain on the ball of my foot.0

Thanks everyone for your responses. My feet could still be getting used to them so I guess I'll try and see what happens next week. Thanks!!!0
