I am a smoker who is interested in quitting but just can't seem to find a way to do it! I have noticed that the deeper into 30 day shred I get, the less I enjoy smoking. Doesn't make much sense to get in shape and lose weight then hit a cig! But it took me forever to be serious about losing weight....I am not sure I am serious about quitting yet.

I'm a smoker and REALLY need to quit. It eats up money I don't really have and me and my partner smoke 60 a day between us! 60!!!

But the thing with smoking is if you're not ready, you won't do it, and even if you manage it the tempation will be there forever, unless you really came to hate smoking.

I'm getting there but I don't want to stop my weight loss so I will be smoking untill I atleast hit 12 stone and can put on a bit of weight without feeling too down about it. :)
  • I'm in the same boat. I keep thinking to myself that I could run longer and faster if I just quit but I'm almost scared of doing it. I tried a couple years ago and fell into a huge depression- I wasnt ready mentally. I know I have to be at that place where I just dont want to smoke anymore which is going to take time. I always wish I could just wake up and not want to smoke anymore. Good luck to you in being a (healthy) quitter.

as a former smoker. I can honestly say the only thing that worked for me was wanting to quit. If you want it bad enough, then just quit. Once you get through the first month, you are there. sure there are urges, but they pass. And think of the health risks of not quitting, might as well go to the store and buy a gun and start pulling the trigger playing Russian Roulet with your life... If you want to quit, then quit and don't say after this pack is finished, just toss the rest of it, and start today. Good luck...

I bought an e-cig and used it for a week until I got bored with the novelty...perhaps I will drag it back out and start again with that....sigh.

I realize this is a taboo subject on a fitness site...the irony is not lost on me believe me...ohhhh perhaps a challenge!!!!

    Quit on September 1st?

Well hey, it's always worth a shot ain't it!

Personally I don't reckon I could but then I never thought I could lose weight before either! So if you wanna try I'll try too!

I make no promises though, and if all fails I'll happily support you trying!!
