Quitting Smoking It's a B*tch

I quit smoking for roughly six months and then about two months ago my father passed away and then the following week his brother, my uncle passed away. Needless to say it was a very stressful time and everyone in my family smokes, so I found myself slipping back into the habit. Now I'm trying to get to where I was, the commitment and dedication I had to quitting and I find myself not able to do it.

Anyone out there with some sage words of wisdom...

You did it before, you can do it again.

Can you remember everything that was great when you wasn't smoking any more? Maybe how things smelt or tasted? I for one was aware of how bad smokers smelt and the relief that I didn't smell like that any more.

Also I told people that I was going to quit so there was no going back. I'm far too proud to deal with that kind of shame.

Basically make sure smoking is an entirely negative thing to you. You CAN do it. You've shown this before!

As Jillian Michaels' says: Why choose failure when success is still an option?

I do need to sit down and write out my reasons for quitting and putting them on my sticky notes for encouragement. Yes, the smell is horrible isn't it? Plus, it makes me feel like crap by messing up my sinuses and giving me headaches. Let's keep it going what else is a REALLY NASTY about smoking!
