I didn't eat 5 or 6 meals, Im eating like 8 because I don't want to eat too much in a setting and I have to eat those dern exercise calories. Plus, fitness_chic is "making" me:laugh:  drink enough water so Im drowning from the inside out:bigsmile: :drinker: But hey, I did one heck of a day today!!! I was -1 on my calories!! LOL:) I also shopped and really watched the labels and got more variety.

Does anyone else have trouble eating "enough"???? I tell people about this site all the time and what I've learned. They don't believe it but I tell them to come here and find out for themselves.

Anyway, my last meal of the day is going to be a bowl of whole grain cheerios with Soy Milk(vanilla).

Love to all, denise:flowerforyou:

I've never had trouble eating all my calories  Something that might help you is eating higher calorie (but healthy) foods. Consider- cheeses, nuts, seeds, milk, peanut butter, avacado, bananas, potatoes etc. Plan the day in advance so you know you'll be eating enough and if you happen to over exercise one day, leaving you with leftover calories, treat yourself to something you wouldn't normally have like a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows or a couple oreos. I find that many of the people that post about having trouble getting even to 1200 calories are very restrictive in the foods that they eat (a LOT of vegetables, some fruits and lean meats. very little dairy and complex carbs) You should try not to think this way, dairy (or soy alternatives) is SO important and carbs are your body's main energy source! (I'm not saying you are eating this way, just that some are, so for anyone reading this with this problem, they can consider it) Good luck to you, you are doing great! :drinker:

Hey GF:heart: You're doin GREAT!! Keep it up:flowerforyou: I'm so proud of how far you've come on your water drinking! I know it's been a struggle....but everyday it sounds like you are pushing yourself to drink a little bit more ...that's what counts:wink: ...pushing ourselves just a step more each day to reach our goal.:drinker:

Regarding having a tough time eating all my cals each day with workouts and such. OH HECK yea...I can't possibly eat them all... I'd be eating up till I went to bed...:noway:   I do add nuts, and such but they only add up so much and I don't want to ever have that stuffed feeling again and then feel like I have to shove more food in even then. UGH:noway:

I eat healthy, I eat my cals, I workout in all area....strength, cardio, Yoga, etc. etc....and keep my water level up....to me those are the most important areas for myself. I say do what you can but I'm certainly never gonna suggest that someone force food on themselves just because they worked out extra a particular day. I do the Clif bar route, trailmix things like that so I have one before a workout (every mini meal I have is a carb/protein combo) then after my 2-3 hours at the gym, all depending on what day and what I'm doing...I do the same after.

My body feels very healthy...,my skin is very healthy with all the water....I don't think I'm lacking in anything...so seems to be working for me.

I'm responding to you.......not to someone who might be reading this that's not eating at least what MFP or their doc says to eat in cals each day.... I'm speaking as a friend and my advice is don't stress to much, unless you're way way way under your cals....some days will workout differently than others....just the way life is.

There'll be days you can't workout because you're not feeling well, weather etc etc....I say keep up with the healthy changes you're making and toss in the bowl of cereal at the end of the day like you're doing tonight!

Mmm Soymilk...I so need to get back to that again...

Denise? Have you found the sprouted almonds in your area? YUM.....they're raw unpasturized sprouted almonds....really tasty....1/2 the fat, carb of regular almonds....mainly because of course these aren't cooked in oil, and no nutrients are lost because they are raw. But the crunch on the sprouted ones is some fun crunch to add to some dried fruit or whatever mini meal you want to try it with.

Ok, enough from me....my computer is fighting me, it's takin me a very long time to finally get to MFP and now I keep getting knocked off....you might just be the only one I get responded to!

    Feel special:drinker:  :smooched:

Oh one last thought....though some on here will be very strongly suggesting that you eat ALL your excercse cals (because that works well for them)...there ARE a number of other successful and well educated folks on here, that DON'T eat 100% of all their excercise cals back....they share they only eat about 1/2 depending on the day.

So I think this is yet another one of those....is water water or is juice water or is coffee water....ya know....so many of the same thread you'll see and SO MANY varied opinions all wanting to help...sometimes it can get so very confusing....we then have to make an educated decision what will work for us....and go on from there:noway:

Mike has opened this site and given us wonderful tools to use and learn from....but I still use my own mind on what is best in my life because when I leave MFP and at some point we all will, I want to know the knowledge is MINE, not a site I have to always go to but that it becomes a part of me, make sense? Been a super long day hope something here is helpin ya......... :noway:

For me this is a TOTAL lifestyle change...so for me to continue eating when my body says no, stop....then I'm not sure what lesson it learns on feeling content at enough . Makes sense? That's why I think how ever many mini meals it takes you to make it through your day and we all have such varied lives and scedules...go for it... 5-6 is simply a number that works for some. If it takes you 8...so be it Hon:flowerforyou:

Girlfriend, you just listed my daily diet, LOL!!! Maybe I am not eating large enough amounts of each but I am still trying to regulate it so I am not eating too much at one time. I haven't eatin avacado or banana's, those are the only two I don't eat regularly. I also do whole grains. Flax seed bread, English Muffins(flaxseed also)and whole grain wraps. Mozarella is lower in fat so I eat that in either sting cheese form or grated. I love cottage cheese and I do Pearl Vanilla Soy Milk. Also do my fruits using frozen. I buy vanilla yogurt and put fruit in it. Laughing Cow cheese, love it. peanut butter on a piece of flaxseed toast. I eat good girl!!!!!!! LOL!! Im just not used to having to eat so much and so often:) I will try and "up" my portions a little.

Thanks for your reply and hugs for you!!!! denise:)

Thank you sis, sooooooooooo much, lots of really good info. I get something from everyone that posts but it is a personal thing also. How our body feels and I 've always been taught to "listen to my bod" so I will do that and not worry so much:) See you soon, I am just beat tonight. I hope your puter straightens out. Mine crashed and burned. I am now using a laptop edie loaned me. She is such a good friend(nwfamilygal)and she is doing so good on her goals. She is encouraging me on the water too because she always has drank a lot since we started. I know I have done excellent the last few days and now when I sit down, get into my truck or finish a meal, or, before I eat a meal, water comes to my mind and I drink:)

    your friend, denise
