S.B.F. Challenge. . . December 10th

Morning!

I didn't work out at all yesterday. I was just so tired when I got home. I'm trying to scale back my workout goals during this crazy time, under the idea that I have no time for snacking, so it might even out.

I do really miss the stress-reducing properties working out has, but I'm still getting in at least 4 days a week of workouts. Maybe the physical down time will be good for my body?

Today, the goal is to do a yoga DVD when I get home (a thirty minute stretching/restorative one) and to try to not get home too late.

Hope everyone is well today, and I know you've probably already headed out, but I hope that your trip is safe, K. Also, MM. . .what fabulous news about the tiny little heart. :flowerforyou: :heart: :flowerforyou:

    Good morning all!
    Well, it's nice to have people come over and cook for you, but it's kind of awkward too. My MIL made dinner for us last night and it was good but I felt weird letting her cook me dinner. Mydh says not to worry about what they are going to eat while they are here because it's not my responsibility, but I am running out of food and I don't want them to have to go get food every meal. Anyway it's nice but weird.
    My DH broke out in hives or something last night and we think it has something to do with the pain he's been having for a week. He's been worse off than me physically. So we're both kind of bedridden. LOL
    Today is drink my water, rest, let MIL cook
    watch my son go to horse therapy without me :cry:
    and get a grocery list made

    I feel blah this morning! I don't feel like making breakfast and we're out of cereal so I've rationed so trail mix :laugh: I'm hoping today I can finish up the work for my Acting class. If so I'm done for the semester...I would just have to physically go to class so I'm not losing those points.

    Last night I still couldn't believe how sore I was! I think it was from walking the dogs about 3.5 miles outside on a really hilly track instead of being inside my nice warm gym. To bad it snowed and go cold really quick I wanted to do that again today! So I'm hoping for a good workout at the gym this evening!

    You all have fun, I'm off to work on my project!

    I went out for a jog this morning. Only went half way. Im so sore from the 30 day shred. I was never this sore from it before! As soon as I took one step on my stairs out side I slid all the way down. It really hurt but I still went.

    I didnt stay within my cals yesterday. Will try again for today and drink all my water again!

    Stick with it y'all! It's a difficult time of year, even without: baby, strike, illness, etc. Try to remember how good it feels to exercise - unless you're told not to.:bigsmile:

    Last night, it, um, snowed. It was 78 degrees around noon and 34 when I went to bed. The wind chill was something crazy like 25. This usually doesn't happen here - and definitely not in December. Luckily, we got a little moisture (sleet, rain, hail, and snow - yeah, you read that correctly - hail, snow, sleet, rain), because we were becoming dangerously dry.

    Yesterday, I did the elliptical and walked. I wasn't up to spin, kickboxing, or my walk/jog. I'm just too stuffed up. Today is yoga and some sort of cardio. I'm not going to make it to weights - I overslept.

  • Yay! I made it to day two and am still motived!! (Woo!!)

    Ok, so yesterday didn't go quite as well as I'd planned, I ended up having another Christmas cookies after I told myself not to. But I figure if I hadn't been trying i'd have eaten alot more than just one! So I'm proud of myself.

    I also didn't get any work outs in or cleaning done. And I don't really have an excuse either. I feel asleep while watching TV and didn't wake up til this morning. :smile:

    Either way I don't feel bad about yesterday. I feel like I would have eaten a whole lot more if I hadn't been controlling myself and so I feel as though yesterday was a success.

    My goals for today are to stay within my calories, do the 30 Day Shred Lvl 1 video, and drink 8 8 oz cups of water.

    The good news? I got on the scale this morning (I usually weigh every day for the first 2 weeks because its nice and motivating for me) and I lost 3 lbs since yesterday morning!! (WW I know, but it still feels great!)

    I didn't bring any Christmas cookies to work with me today so I think I'm going to be ok! Hope everyone has a great day!!!!!

    Hey, everyone! So good to be back at the gym this morning. Couldn't go yesterday because husband out of town and needed to stay home with my boys. So, got everything in this morning. Its so nice to see those exercise calories today! Still got to get my water in.

    It is warm here, today. High is going to be close to 70 degrees. I'm in short sleeves.

    Oh lunch was so good! I cheated and had chicken tenders with ranch dressing! I didn't over stuff myself but I know I went over on calories...so I'll workout and eat a light dinner but I'm not counting for the rest of the day.
  • Good for you. Just knowing you could eat another cookie and you didn,t . Great job. Around the holiday's is very hard. I always make candy. My children and grandchildren expect it. I ask them if they want it and you know the answer. So I'm making it and I had one small piece and I decided that one piece fixed the wanting and craving. Rocky Road Candy. So I feel that was a good thing that I could control the having of more. I make quite a few batches as that is what I give out to my friends also. So it is a challenge not to eat any more. But then I think that you don't have to deprive yourself. Anything in moderation. So have a good day and don't beat your self up. :happy:

    I'm bored!!!! The electricity has been out for a few hours so it was getting cold and dark in here. It's been a rough day physically. Not feeling so good. Maybe I just need some sleep.

    I'm at the coffee shop - I swear, they keep this place freezing just so they sell more coffee. I'm wearing my hat and scarf in here!

    Anyway, just a quick post since I'm supposed to be working on my project (actually making some progress today, yay). I did pushups last night for the first time in nearly a week (week 6, day 3, level 2) while watching the first half of my BL recording. And today I went for a chilly walk and then made it to aerobics after work. I'm really proud that I made it to aerobics, because a couple things went wrong (I left my dinner and water bottle at the office and wouldn't have had time to go back and get it before class) and I considered just skipping it - but I went. It was pretty fun, too.

    I am still not logging calories, but so far I seem to be pretty much maintaining. I panic every time the scale goes up a pound... but then it goes back down again. I had been thinking I would get another fitness assessment in December, but since I am still working on my project and not planning on really focusing on exercise or losing weight until I finish, I am thinking that getting the results of the assessment now would probably just be a distraction.

    Hope you feel better, MM. I was telling my (male) buddies at work about how far you got in the pushup challenge before having to stop, and they were super impressed! :wink:

    Oh, I also wanted to add: I didn't eat junk today! Even though I forgot my dinner, I just got a tomato soup at the coffee shop (and my cafe au lait) and had an orange. I've been stress eating lately - something I haven't really done in months - so getting back on track today was a big deal for me. Whew!
