So this isn't a weight loss success story but i am so happy.

Last year (december..nice christmas present) i had to have a biopsy as after several smear tests and other tests i had pre-cancerous cells that obviously needed to go and ive had to wait 6 months to have another smear to see if im in the all clear...AND I AM!!

Honestly i cannot tell you the feelings i am going through! so perfect health again now which is makin me more motivated to get fit :D

Just wanted to share the good news...as i feel like shoutin it to the whole world!

    thank god you are ok!!! I have a friend recently diagnose with full blown cervical cancer at the age of 24....she is undergoing chemo and radiotherapy and fingers crossed she is ok.

    VERY glad you are ok!!

    Oh im sorry to hear that! i hope she gets through the chemo and radiotherapy ok!

    Thanks very much :D its been a long road but finally at the end of my journey. I got a tattoo as a lil reminder and now going to add todays date to it so i can always remember the day i got the clear :D

    Congratulations on your news...

    Weight is linked to a lot of different cancers, including cervical cancer (that's what you're talking about, is that right?) Getting to or staying at a reasonable weight may have had an benefit you never suspected.

    Hey, I don't normally comment but read the sucess stories but just wanted to say that this is amazing to hear that you are alright! Cancer is so scary to think about let alone possibly having so you are really strong for having to go through this. I'm happy to hear that you can put this behind you and use as a motivation for further improving your health! :D

    I actually just finally scheduled a pap smear with my doctor just now. I haven't had one done and I'm 23... Bit lacking! Plus I'm going to have a full physical done. Never hurts! I feel great but you never know. :)

    I did have one scheduled at 21 but I had my period RIGHT as she was about to start it so that ended up being awful.

    I'm going through the same exact thing. I have an appt on the 24th to see if I'm in the clear... :/

    It a long road but its so great when you get the results that you are ok :) fingers crossed for you!

    Thank you so much :) My family and boyfriend were all so supportive, my mum came and sat in the waiting room at every appointment i had...i dont think i cud have been so strong without them! Yup that is a chapter in my life im going to put behind me but going to say to myself i beat that so i can beat the flab! :D

    I am so happy to hear you are okay. Goo celebrate!!! Unfortunately I am waiting on the same thing, found a few bumps on my cervix. I have to wait till the 6th of September. Hopefully I can come back to this thread with good news too!!

    I'm going to :D im going on holiday tomorrow to germany to visit my sister and neice so going to have a fun holiday with them now as i thought the letter would come when i was away so obviously happy it came before :D

    I hope everything is ok with you and would love to have an update :)

    Yeah it was pretty scary but just took it a step at a time and now im out the other side :D
