The heavier you are, the more you burn.

I have a question, too. I usually do a walk with my family. We live in a very hilly area and we usually go about 1/2 an hour. It's over 400 calories burned (according to MFP). Today, I mowed the backyard -- way more effort, way more sweating -- for 25 minutes and MFP says 298 calories burned. What's up with that? Just asking...

    Peace,
    Loree

MFP estimates are rarely accurate. Investing in a HRM would be wise.

    Hi LoreeBelle

is it a manual mower or a powered one? MFP may well be thiking its a powered one.

and walking up hill is very good at burning calories
