mp3 interval timer?

I'm sorry if this is a repeat! I know you could break up a song into tiny sections, but is it possible to just insert a beep into the song as a whole?

otherwise, I need a 'song' timer. I don't want to buy one, and I don't like to stare at the timer on a machine as it breaks concentration. I have an ipod nano, so apps don't help...is there a timer in mp3 form I could download?

    There are online interval podcasts you could use.
    I've found them useful.
    They beep when you need to change pace.
