Hi everyone! I just had a few questions about juicing. I have heard a lot about it, including the benefit of good weight loss. I am going to become a truck driver and was thinking about how I am not going to be able to get a lot of exercise and wanting to feel healthier. I have seen documentaries and seen that some people lead a healthy lifestyle. What do you guys think?

I think it would be good, start with 10 days and make sure you ask a doc. I want to do it, just as a cleanse I think it would be beneficial.

This is not a direct answer to your actual question (sorry), but I would urge you to reconsider your choice of becoming a truck driver. It is extremely challenging to maintain anything resembling a healthy lifestyle in that profession. Probably not what you wanted to hear.

As for "juicing" - it probably won't hurt you, provided that you are drinking enough juice every day to meet your nutritional needs. It's totally unnecessary. Much easier and more satisfying to eat good wholesome food.

Going on a short term juice cleanse has really done great things for me. I feel so refreshed and chronic headaches disappeared. I was more alert and felt great! It might not be for everyone, but so long as you don't have any health detriments preventing you from doing it, I don't see how it could possibly damage you in any way. Juicing allows you to absorb mircronutrients at a faster rate than anything else. I juice almost every morning about an hour before breakfast and I swear it is the BEST energy boost and kickstart to my day. I love, love, love juicing.

Oh and I did lose weight, and did not gain it back. It was a short 7 day fast though.
