What's a "bump"???

Hi, I'm new and loving MFP! I love the encouragement and motivation updating the site gives me each day. I left my marriage last year, and have not been active or healthy since. Now it's time. I want to look good, but most importantly... feel good.

But... what's a bump?

I see everyone using it on here, and I don't know what it means...

basically they are bumping to save the topic under their My Topics.

If the thread is something interesting that you want to save you "bump" it to go back to it later.

If you must know, a "bump" moves the thread up to the front page, so that it can attract more viewers and garner more responses.
