    i have had same issue in past, and still get this once in a while. it is old blood - if you have pain that is different story. try a plain vinegar/water douche and see if that helps. do not douche every month though as it can cause yeast infections if done too often.

    Douching is NOT recommended by health professionals. It upsets the natural ph of the body.

    Douching is HORRIBLE! The vagina is self cleaning..

    If you're having cramping or any kind of pain, see your doctor. If not, it's probably normal spotting. I don't do it often, but I do on occasion. It can be normal. If it continues for several months in a row and you're concerned, it never hurts to call your gyno and ask, but just one month is usually no big deal unless it's accompanied by pain. And I agree with the others who have said to avoid douching -- it's bad for the climate in there. Don't do it. Just wear a pantyliner so you don't ruin your underwear, and it will go away in a couple of days.
