Question for current team captains of the August Challenge b

I am considering heading up a team (we have 9 people) but I want to get feedback on the responsibilities and time committment needed to be a team captain.
One of my main questions is how team captains make the decision to "drop" people...i.e. if they've never checked in on the team thread or if they don't check in for 3 days or more...

Typically we allow a teammate drop at any time of the challenge. In the sept. challenge if you drop a teammate and don't have a replacement you will assign that person all the points but wouldn't get points for their weight loss. Because its based on % of weight not really a big deal unless you lost everyone?
Team captain responsibilities:
Send me your team name, roster and external email. After that you just post your weekly challenges that I send out the prior week. Then keep score on the excel spreadsheet. Its been modified and very simple for 10 people.
This month for team captains will be very simple. All I need is the teams total points each week to be sent to me.
That's it.

The biggest challenge is getting everyone's daily challenge report and weights, a lot of people want to do the challenge, but than you have to haunt them down to get numbers.. This month it was a bit overwhelming with 21 members, but next month it's only 10, so I am hoping it won't be as much of a challenge.0
