Hi everyone...

I was just wondering how many people see +/- 1-2 pounds when they are maintaining? I was 111.8 on the 7th of August and now I've been 112.6 since the 14th...

Do people see that small change happening or does it mean I'm slowly gaining? Does something like that even matter in the big scheme of a "life change"?

Thanks!

To me, that is a very small difference that could be due to a number of factors that will always be affecting you in your day-to-day life. I think fluctuating in a range of 2-5lbs is fine for maintenance. Chart your weight over the course of a month or two. See if it's steadily creeping up. If so, then you can take actions to bring it back down again.

Agree. I can go anywhere between 1 - 3 pounds while maintaining... It mostly depends on sodium and water and all of those good factors.

That's completely normal. I'll bet it would be abnormal to weigh exactly the same everday.

Agreed. Right now I'm not maintaining, but I know my weight fluctuates 1-3lbs every day, regardless of whether I'm aiming for weight loss or maintenance. It's the trend over time that matters. I would consider that small of an increase to be incidental.

+-1 a few pounds is perfectly normal and means nothing. That said, if it goes up something like a pound every week for 5 weeks (for a total of 5lbs over), then you might want to revisit your eating and exercise habits...not drastic changes, just little things to see what happens. IMO

Maybe consider weighing yourself just once a month?
