well it's friday night, after a long week my kids want to bake, and just guess what recipe they have picked only CHOCOLATE cup cakes. i love baking with the kids as it some of the only QUALITY time we get together.

we all eat healthy with at least 7 to 10 portions of fresh fruit and veg a day. so i can't moan about the odd treat. unlike me my children are lean and healthy.

my question if i eat one!!!!! how will i add up the nutrition in my diary i have been well under my allowances for the last three weeks. with only one binge but even on that day i was still under allowance.

I know all you super moms out there will tell me that there are lots of healthy treats that we could make, so please post some ideas.

OHHHH they smell SOOOOOOO good!!!!!!!

Aww I can't wait till work is done so I can see my daughter. Baking is a great idea. I bought a few box mixes on sale a few weeks ago. I might have her help me make one. She is only three and thinks it's the coolest thing ever to use the whisk to stir the batter =)

I'll suggest to you what I plan on doing myself. Just don't eat any, if it does not fit into your program/lifestyle. It's just not worth it IMO. If grains and sugar fit into your eating plan, and you must have some, then just eat half.

What about getting in some great family with a hike or something, that way you can earn a cupcake!

hello i have been using the recipie database on here for my dinners. I have made homemade pizza and lasana. I put all my ingredients in and how many servings and it gives you the exact calories you will eat. I am sure you could do the same for baking cakes i might give it ago myself, any homemade baking is better and usually less calories good luck with the baking xxxx

I love to bake, but have some serious issues if there are baked goods in the house. I typically allow myself one single cupcake (muffin, cookie, ect) and then pack the rest up to send to work with hubby. His co-workers love it, I love that I got to bake something, and my diet didn't go down the drain.
Maybe find some neighbors or some of your kid's friends and make up little cupcake gift bags?
It isn't great, but a single cupcake isn't going to do you in for life. Just make sure to get the rest of them out of the house before you start trying to justify that another wouldn't hurt ;)
