My hubby is gone for 4 months and I have decided that I am going to be a smaller me before he comes home. I am currently eating a 1700 calorie diet every day and I do water aerobics 3 days a week and an doing the Jillian Micheals 30 day shred. After the shred I am atarting a 12 week weight lifting plan. Now my question is how many inches do you think I can lose in a 4 month period working out at least 5 days a week like this and the calorie intake.
My size now is I am 5'11 and 273 pounds.
Opinions would be appreciated.

I dont know about inches but the best opinion/advice I can give you is to be realistic about it. I just learned that lesson yesterday. In 4 months I'd be happy with dropping about 15 pounds. I know it doesnt seem like much but to exercise and exercise, and not lose fast enough, and then get discouraged about it and STOP exercising, is worse to me than being patient about it while taking it slowly and realistically. Like I said, I just learned that lesson yesterday. Good luck!0

Because there's no quick fix....even if those magazines tell you there is. P.S. If you lose weight faster, AWESOME!0

Sounds like you have a good plan. Go with it and see what happens.0

Like Danny said be realistic and if your going for 1lb a week you should be able to lose 16 lbs in that time frame. With Jillian lots of people lost inches I dropped a pants size
So stick with it and don't give up that will be the key be consistent
4 months will fly by in no time flat. Good Luck!

Sounds good and maybe you will eventually drop the calories to 1500 a day and it will help with more of a loss. Good luck, I am excited for you.0

Thank you all for the positive replys. I had always heard you should have a goal size or weight but I just want to be healthy again and feel better. My overall goal is to be 185 again I know it sounds like a lot but I am a big chick. so here it goes I will stay realistic and just see what happens. I just hope I see some change.0
