Ok, any normal person, upon seeing a few sparks from an electrical outlet, would unplug everything, and move on with their day. Me? Nope, I unplug everything, and then after going to bed, get back up, check the rest of the outlets, go back to bed, recheck a couple, unplug the glade oils, go back to bed, and stay up yet another half hour hoping that someone else doesnt have a weird outlet, and then worry the apartment building will catch fire as soon as i fall asleep.

Oh honey you and me are two peas in a pod except I think I'd be sleeping with the fire extinguisher0

I'd call apt maintenance immediately and get my dogs out of my apt (just in case) it is highly unlikely I'd sleep there again until it was repaired and I would have the smoke detectors & fire extinguishers inspected too
Then I would probably sleep for several nights fully dressed - cause if there's a fire, I don't have time to dress AND save my dogs LOL
My kids used to make fun of me cause I had fire drills and water life saving drills - better to be safe than sorry I say0 -
I am so glad I'm not alone! I do that for everything! I get up out of bed to make sure the door is locked, the oven is off, etc. It's a bit ridiculous.0

at first I thought you were giving me advice, and my anxiety level went from an 8 to a 20, then I realized you were telling me what you would do, Lol.I'd call apt maintenance immediately and get my dogs out of my apt (just in case) it is highly unlikely I'd sleep there again until it was repaired and I would have the smoke detectors & fire extinguishers inspected too

Almost sounds like my OCD. I was just diagnosed about 6 months ago and I do all that stuff too Don't get me started on my closet and how everything faces the same way on hangers that are all the same color. I even have it color coordinated by what type of shirt (long sleeve, spaghetti strap etc) and if the pants are jeans or another material.
I also feel the need to point out that my doctor said the average person is obsessive about at least a few things in their lives. We all have our idiosyncrasies. I'm just super over the top about a lot of weird things :laugh:0 -

Thats like me. I have a couple outlets that the plugs hang out of. but I leave them plugged in...I just have surge protecctors for everything important. (computer, mini fridge, coffee maker, TV, DVD player, and Wii) lol0
