    It's best if you try to eat at least close to what you're supposed to. When I first started I was only eating my 1200 (sometimes not even that) and not eating my workout calories. I wasn't losing hardly at all. I decided to expirement and added 300 calories a day and started constintly losing about 2-3 lbs a week! Your body needs fuel to function properly. If you don't feed it, it'll be sluggish and slow.

    You have to eat the calories your body needs to function.
    Which is what MFP provides with a pre-determined HEALTHY reduction of calories already figured in.
    Eventually if you keep going too low your body WILL stop losing weight because it will believe it is starving and hold on to every calorie consumed.

    Figure out what you want.
    Healthy weight loss or fast weight loss.
    This site was created for ONE of those choices.

    ok. that makes sense. i just thought maybe if you ate less and kept burning more you'd lose more weight.
