Hi all,
I'm sorry if this has been posted before. Tonight i am going out for a celebration meal and while i will try to make sensible choices how do you log your meal in your food diary? As you don't know what calories you have had.
How do you get around this? I would love to hear any advice you may have.
Thanks

I always look at the menu before I go and plan my day accordingly. Exercise more and make sure I order what I planned on!0

The easiest thing to do would be to ask the restaurant for the nutritional values for the meal. That way you can enter in the total calories, carbs, etc. If they don't have that, then you have to guesstimate what is in the meal, how much of it you had, etc.
If it's a large chain restaurant, they should also have the nutrition info online.0 -
If you have a a smart phone and the MFP app., you can find almost every big name restaurant or food category with the calorie count. It is also so helpful to be able to add the foods immediately rather than trying to remember what you ate when you get home.0
