I am a sloth... I can't even get into my TJ routines this holiday break let alone buy a killer workout routine! I am seriously unmotivated on the work out side and that's not good....cause my muscles are getting jiggly again...

    Save me!

If that song doesn't work how about "Mama gonna knock you out?" :ohwell: Perhaps the Electric Slide? Any of these trip your trigger?

I know what your motivation can be! SHOES! Glorious shoes!

HA! You know my weakness... sadly, shoes cost money too and I am trying to save for a house when my fiance gets home (which is a total pain... since I am trying to pay for everything on my own right now).
So....no more splurging for me...not even on rewards!

Yikes! If I keep eating the way I have been this last week... I will have gained the whole 10lbs back in my 2 weeks of holiday!!!!
  • shoes are great motivation. you can always have a penny jar set aside for things you want to buy like Chalean Extreme

Alright... I did Day One this morning... wowzers. At first I was like, "I'm not gonna sweat very much,"... BOY was I WRONG! I sweat lots. It takes a lot of control to move those heavy weights so slow... I had balance checks a few times on one of those moves.
One thing I'm finding is that my grip strength isn't that great... I could totally lift heavier with some of the leg/back moves, but my grip gets too loose. BUT, we know it'll get better.

I made the veggie scramble for breakfast, for lunch I have a Greek pita and organic cinnamon applesauce, and for dinner I have a 4oz. filet mingon and broccoli... snacks are cottage cheese and fruit and some string cheese and a chai tea.

It feels good to be lifting heavy again!

I love it too! I did BC #1 this morning also. I'm on week 3 now though, so was lifting heavier than ChaLean. I'm already feeling stronger! Woohoo! These are awesome!

I've read through this thread and it seems that Chalean Extreme is definately worth it. I love her Turbo Jams and have just about every one of them. My concern is - does it work you out enough for a high calorie burn for weight loss or is it more weight lifting for the tone after weight loss. I may have missed the answer to this on the web site. Thanks for any info in advance!

It is so worth it! She is sooo motivational, I just love Chalene! Oh yeah, you burn a lot of cals!! The weight training is awesome and the burn intervals and burn it up are major calorie burners!! Let me know if you have any more questions!

I have a feeling it won't be long before I'm lifting heavier than Chalene too... as I'm currently lifting about the same as or just below (2 lbs. or so) what she's lifting. I find my grip and forearms burning... I need to learn not to grip the weights for dear life so much!

I found that my forearms were sore after BC #2. It was the back and heavier leg work that did it! I didn't feel like I was gripping too tight, but guess I was!! Do you have the BowFlex weights?? I want those, they look so awesome!!

LeeNee!!!! :):):) I'm still over at the BB boards, too, but those have exploded so much it's hard to find some peeps anymore :) I mainly hang at "Gettin' FINE in '09" and "Midwest X." That's really about it... they move fast enough to keep me busy, for sure!
Guess who I heard from... DEW!!!!! She's back in the game with us! :)

Alright, I'm into week 2... I'm quite sore... oh yes. Food front and workout front have both been good, and I seem to be doing a good job fighting off this virus at the same time. I'm scheduled to get a massage today, because I've meant to treat myself to one for months, and I think I've finally earned it :)

I hope all are well!

I am not sure about the Chalean Extreme progam exactly, but I have done just about all of her Turbo Jam DVD's, I got them a couple of years ago after I put on 20lbs, and I loved them! I did one DVD a day, workout ranging from 20 minutes to 45 minutes, and I lost 25lbs in less than two months! I loved them! They were high energy and FUN! Each workout gave you different levels to exercise out so you could do the same workout no matter your fitness level and work your way up. I continued to do them for over a year to stay in shape.
After I got a new job a year ago, a desk job, I kind of fell off the wagon, quit exercising and gained 20lbs back. I plan to start doing my DVD's again and I am seriously thinking about investing in the Chalean Extreme. Just from my experience with her other workout DVD's I would highly recommend it over any other programs I have tried; Tae Bo, Pilates, Yogalaties, etc...
    Good Luck!

Turbo Jam also rocks! I got certified to teach it because I enjoyed it so much... and now I teach 2 Turbo classes per week (in addition to doing ChaLEAN and other classes... oy! No wonder I'm sore!)

    Hi Everybody,
Glad you brought this up - I was wondering the same thing about this dvd set. Look forward to the feedback and considering adding it as another option,
Getting ready for a quick workout before bed - just want to check in and keep myself accountable.'It seems to help.

    Thanks
