Soo I am curious to hear some feedback on this one...I truly believe that the world we live in today feeds off of dirty laundry and gossip. Unfortuntely it is visible on here also in regards to posts you see people post about something positive compared to something negative and the amount of people that read them. So how many people will admit on here that they would rather read something gossipy or someones dirty laundry than something that can make your day brighter. I find it unfortunate the amount of negative we have in our world that most people have forgotten what it really feels like to be positive and happy. We base our happiness off of what is happening to other people.

That is all for now... Spreading optimism.

Honestly, I do not like negativity or gossipy stuff. It brings me down even when it doesn't involve me. I can't watch reality tv or talk shows, even. I guess I'm sort of wimpy in that regard. :)

I try not to be that way - but have to admit I have my 'bad' moments. Just like food choices, making positive life choices can be a struggle too!

I totally agree! It's crazy to me. I think that I'm completely opposite. So many things are shared on here that I don't think should be and I would much rather spend my time reading someone's success than all of the drama! Thanks for sharing!

I am always a glass half full person...I want positive on here not negative. I rarely watch TV except when my sitcom is on: Big Bang Theory. My children have the TV which is Nick or Disney et. al.

Going for the negative involves way too much work to me. I find myself clicking out of threads left-and-right on here. I can't fathom mustering enough of a fck to give.

I'll take the positive stories and replies anyday over those people who talk down or discourage others. Sadly, I seem to see more of the latter. Let's all start being the change! :-)

I think I can honestly say that I have never clicked on a thread with a negative heading!! I'm much more interested in reading optimistic people who know that they will reach their goals, or reading those posts of the lucky people who already have!!

    Spread the happy=]

Remaining positive amidst negativity is a conscious action for me. Drama annoys me, but I have to admit, I find it empowering to be empathetic towards someone else's negative situation. Sometimes it's nice to be able to put a different spin on things, so I do get drawn into negative posts.

I guess for me it's kind of like volunteering at a soup kitchen. I don't think hunger or poverty are good, but I enjoy the feeling I get when I am able to contribute.

I'll never understand being mean for the sake of fun, or being negative for the sake of fun. Life is too short to have that much hate in your heart.
It comes off as petty, bitter and insecure.

Take care of your own life and happiness and you're going to worry a lot less about bringing others down.
  • I went to a NHL hockey game and everyone around me was pumped at the beginning of the game, lots of positivity. Pretty soon into the 2nd period the team began to make mistakes and the crowd became very negative. As the game went on it just seemed as if the players just couldn't do anything right and these are professionals, The crowd kept at it shouting out negative comments and the players just couldn't do anything right. Finally the game was over and everyone was mad, including my husband.
I pointed out to him that with that much negativity directed at them (from the whole crowd) it's not surprizing they couldn't get their flow. I'm not saying that's the reason they lost but it does make you think about it?

    The power of positivity:)
  • It's hard to have a positive life with a negative mind you have to get your mind right. this isnt always the easy thing todo but you have to work at it just like everything else

Just as your parents used to say.... You are who you associate with. Keep positive people around you.
