Going to a social gathering on your own

Would you go to a Pub Crawl on your own? The friend that I thought I would go with flaked out on me. This is an event arranged by my Alumni Association and I already bought my own ticket, but I do not know anyone else there. I am usually shy with people I do not know and hate being the single one in such crowds.

    Thanks Dawn. I decided to go a bit later than I was planning on and see what it feels like. I guess I can always come home if it doesn't feel right for me. Besides, I do not think I can last long after my 15-mile run this morning.
