30DS and Ripped in 30 HYBRID

Hey everyone, so i absolutely love Jillian workouts, but after a while i didn't feel like my body was changing much anymore. Then I came up with this type of hybrid thingy combining her two popular (and my two favorite) DVDs.
So on Monday i start with 30DS, it goes like this (it's really simple)
M-30DS Level 1
T-30DS Level 2
W-30DS Level 3
Th-Ripped in 30 Week 1
F-Ripped in 30 Week 2
Sa-Ripped in 30 Week 3
Sun-Ripped in 30 Week 4
So let's be serious, i definitely take days off. Whenever i take a day off, i will just pick up on the next level the next day that I work out.
This has really been working for me. I know how we hear about 'muscle confusion' and 'changing up your routine' to see more results and this has DEFINITELY made a huge difference for me.

Wow, nice to hear! I'm finishing my first 30DS, doing one more round with a bunch of friends and then moving onto "Ripped". I hadn't decided what to do after the first round of "Ripped" and this sounds like a GREAT possibility. I've also thought about writing the different levels and programs on sticks, picking one a day and going with it - it would be completely random that way!0

I guess that's kind of the thinking behind the 30 day slimdown, which I am in the process of doing. It rotates between 30 DS, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, and No More Trouble Zones. I also have Ripped in 30 so I add that in there too in place of 30 DS sometimes just to mix it up more. I only have a few more days of the slimdown and I think I might do my own variation of DVDs as well, focusing more on ripped in 30 because I have done 30DS a lot, NMTZ, and BFBM.0

Will try this also since i own both dvds!! ive only lost 1/2lb since starting 30ds and im on level 2..have u seen a huge difference in your weight/measurements since doing both?0 -

I haven't actually completed the Shred yet and I haven't done Ripped In 30 yet. I do have both workouts and planned on finishing the Shred 1st then moving on to Ripped In 30. But this idea is so great that I think I want to just go for it!!! I probably will do the rotation a little differently though. I can't wait to start and see what kind of results I can get!0 -

i have seen a huge difference since doing this. i have a lot of muscle definition now. my husband said 'damn, i see a 6 pack coming!' lol. also in my shoulder muscles and my thighs.
before when i was just doing one of the levels multiple times a week, i was adding in some extra free weight training. bicep curls-11lbs 3 sets of 10. shoulder raises 8lbs 3 sets of ten. tricep extensions 11lbs 3 sets of 10. Since i started this hybrid--i don't add in the extra strength training because i am just too tired from the workouts. it's like my body can't get used to them, so every day it feels new (even though i did it the week before).

Awesome! I was planning on doing something like this when I finished ripped in 30. I'm on w3d3. But I was going to do both 30ds and ri30 back to back and mix the levels up day by day.0

Hi all, I'm doing 30DS shred and am so going to give this 'mix up' a go.
I need a suggestion regarding the Push Up part of the work outs please.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands and although I have worked through level 1 of 30DS, Level 2 push ups were more than my wrists could handle.
I don't want to give up, but the pain is awful.
Any ideas what I could change this for? :flowerforyou:0 -

Thank you so much for posting this! I've been struggling with the lack of change this time around on 30DS and I felt it was because of the lack of change. I had started to jump around levels beore the 10 days and would see and feel a change and then it has been reaching a level of nothing. I've lost 1 pound but seen toning and inches drop but nothing like the first time I did it a few months back. I literally just got the Ripped in 30 dvd in the mail today and was contimplating doubling up level 1 of each. I love Jillian and love that others do as well!0 -

I know this question wasn't aimed at me, but I'm going to answer it anyways. I do an alternative workout 6 days of the week on top of 30 DS. Two days I do a pretty serious lifting routine, followed with 20 minutes on the bike before heading home to do 30DS. The other 4 days I run, any where from 4-10 miles. I'm training to do some kind of race, just haven't decided where and when.0
