I have notice that foods which I have always treated as zero calorie foods, like Iceburg lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa, and therefore I have used as "free" foods all have a calorie count on MyFitnessPal. Why is that??

All food has calories. Food is food because it contains chemical energy which your body can utilize and nutrients it can absorb.0

Because they do have calories, even if the amount is small, and other nutrients, such as fiber, potassium, sodium, etc. People tracks these nutrients sometimes for health reason, orr because they want to be accountable for every piece of food that they put in their mouth. I do.0
