How to make yogurt a balanced meal

So for breakfast i usually have egg whites and grapefruit, oatmeal if working out soon following, and lunch is usually a huge protein filled salad. I got snack covered as well, but the issue is i live at home and my parents always cook dinner. They are the fatty meet, potatoes, mac and cheese and corn type of people. I don't want to be in the way when they are making dinner, so i want to start having greek yogurt for dinner, but i don't know how to make this a complete meal. I was thinking mixing high fiber cereal in it, but would that be good enough?
I would love some ideas

throw in some cereal, fruit, whatevr you like. or drop some yogurt into a smoothie.
what i did when i lived at home was eat a teeny tiny amount of my parent's food-just to satiate my cravings for real food- and a huge salad...maybe try that on some nights?0 -
I really like fruit and sliced almonds in my Greek yogurt.0

that was funny! anyways I would say that if you want to make yogurt a balanced meal that is understandable, but maybe a bit boring if you plan to do this every night. I would also suggest talking to your parents and see if they would supplement maybe one night a week... then they could start eating too... now I know that this is not always doable my family would probably just laugh in my face. so good luck0 -
Granola is very good for you, filling, and pretty high in calories. So you could just pour some granola in your yogurt, maybe throw some berries in there, and you'll be set!
and do your parents ever yell at you for eating your own separate meals? I always get lectured, and accused of being 'anti social'0 -
my boyfriend and i eat dinner together and he grew up on hamburger helper and mac and cheese so thats what he likes to eat, i used to cook him on of his favorites and then eat something light for myself (yogurt, protein shake, cereal) and i found that i got really bored of my meals. Now i cook for the two of us, we eat the same thing mostly and i'm losing weight. Whatever i make i stick to the serving size make sure that there's protein and always eat 1-2 cups of vegetable with dinner. Just an idea incase the yogurt gets boring.0

It's all about texture you can mix anything with yogurt its used in drinks curries sauces etc, see if you like it with some fruit chunks like apples bananas etc, or add nuts like crushed almonds or you could just eat it plain with a spoonful of sugar to taste. Enjoy0

you can make chicken salad using the yogurt. I use it in place of mayo in sandwiches, you could use it to make sauces for chicken breasts. The best thing about greek yogurt is its versatility in any type meal.0

I generally do yoghurt, fruit (apple/banana/blueberries etc), sultanas, muesli/granola and a little bit of honey.0
