Looks like a good day to trade off walking for the bowflex:laugh: Got motivation I hadn't planned on this a.m. I wanted to make a list of "improvements" to my bod since I've started this on Oct. 6. I didn't "get" the "eating your exercise calorie" thing until Nov. 9 though so really, I all the main things I've noticed have started after that point:) Love to all and hope this encourages others to look at the "whole" picture, not just that dern scale or measuring tape:wink:

Overall benefits of nutrition & fitness lifestyle change:drinker:

)stopped waking up with a headache every day(I am sure the water consumption accomplished this one)
)Dry skin gone and has been replaced with "baby butt" soft:laugh:
)Hair and nails are looking much better
)No walking like Im 100 when I get out of bed(feet felt crippled up every time I got up from sitting or lying down)
)No more throbbing aches in the area above my right knee
)No hunger pains(all my 55 years I'd get the shakes if I got hungry and I'd eat anything I could get my hands on to stop it)
)No more dizzy spells(one time only since Nov 9, for about 2 seconds because I was so fatigued and not enough water)
)Sleep beautifully 99% of the time. Wake up "wanting" to get out of bed, excited about the day.
)Some great muscle tone/building in my legs.
)have suffered with some short-term memory loss which has improved probably 50%.
)have suffered with some short-term memory loss which has improved probably 50%, oops!!  :drinker: Well I said 50%, LOL!!
)zero depression
)On a scale from 1-10 I was having hotflashes registering 9:sad: Started on Estrogen Replacement which through me back into migraines for about 2 weeks. Stopped the pills and had already been into MFP for that 2 weeks or less. My hotflashes and nightsweats moved down to about 1 on the scale!!!!!!!!!!:drinker: Thank you Lord and MFP!!!!!!!!!

No kidding gals, I was certain either I'd aged 20 years over night, or I was developing either arthritis, fibromyalga or who knows what:( I also have a tremor and something called spasmodic torticolus that has improved greatly. I have a pacemaker from 1997 when the doc told me I had a 3rd degree heartblock. No doc has determined the cause. No family history etc. Basically though, 55 years of my life I did not take care of myself. I rarely thought about it at all. When I gained the weight though that got my attention. I never drank water, my whole life!! Im surprised Im alive. But very glad I am and if any of this helps someone else, then it's all worth it:) Im sure I am forgetting some of the improvements in my life, well, I have lost 5 lbs for the first time ever and will be losing the rest, slow but sure. I love my new way of living this life. Again, thank you to all you great folks that were willing to share your experiences and wisdom with me:) denise
