i was talking about my plateauing and my new trainer said that at some point and time in my life I hovered around this weight for some time. He said the body remembers this weight. Is there such a thing as weight memory? How do I get past this plateau so I can continue my journey?

That would make a lot of sense as to why I'm stuck at this weight. ****.
  • I have the same problem! 39lbs down, and then plateau! So frustrating.

Your fat cells have memory.. That's why it's so important for people like 'The Biggest Loser' contestants to exercise such a large amount every day once they've hit their goal..
But it's obviously important for all of us to keep upping the ante..

i've heard of that too. i've gone from 180 to 250 too many times and i can NEVER get passed 180. i'm currently stuck there once again and i'm just hanging out in maintenance mode for a few weeks and then upping my exercise and my calories in a few weeks. i'm hoping that will shock my body. :-)

    Yep, it happens

Try changing up your exercise routine and eating a bit more calories.
