No Jillian for me today. last night cooking dinner, I cut my left hand and burnt my right. Need to concentrate. Anyway both hands too sensitive to hold weights or to do plank, push ups etc. Tomorrow I am in the city for 2 days. So by the time I get home hoping I'm all healed and ready to go again.

Sorry about your hands!:flowerforyou: Enjoy your trip to the city and let yourself heal!

Yesterday turned out to be a very stressful day involving losing my 4 year old at the children's hospital where we were seeing the eye specialist. She got in an elevator and the door shut before I could get in. I got a lot of exercise running up and down the stairs trying to meet the elevator that seemed determined never to open again. I finally found her down on the first floor where a doctor was waiting with her and another gentleman had ridden back up in the elevator to find her family, so he found my Mom waiting on the original floor. Anyway, after being pretty wound up all day yesterday, I decided to give myself a break today. I didn't get up at 5 for my early workout. I will do it sometime today, but I felt I needed sleep this morning.:blushing:

If you did 30DS, you will be fine!! I think the biggest difference is that it is a longer workout. I also started with 3lb weights, when I should have gone back to my 2lb ones. As was suggested, just take breaks if you need to. It's a great workout: )
Agreed! I don't think it would have been so difficult if I hadn't taken a 2 month break.
Tell me about it!! OMG, WHY DID I HAVE TO TAKE A BREAK???

I really like the idea of doing a few circuits at a time. I can totally see doing it every day like that.
I love telling my story about how I was flat out on my face the first time I did NMTZ. I don't want to be like that again... That was AFTER doing the Shred!!
Well, I guess I'll keep checking in here until I get the courage to do it myself.

I see alot of you are only doing the floor circuits and maybe you should try her 6 w 6 pack dvd instead? Also, if you include circuit 1 anyway, make sure to start with that one cuz that helps the body to get warm.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have actually been cycling through the whole workout 4 circuits at a time. I go through all of the circuits at least 2x a week. I hadn't thought about 1 warming up the muscles, I'll have to make sure I'm doing it first. Those shoulder moves are killer for me so I'm usually glad when that one falls at the end of my workout.

Kate you are doing so well. I ended up staying in the city for 4 days instead of 2. I have a lot of catching up to do. How scary for you losing your daughter at the hospital. So glad there are lovely people in this world and had her till you got there. The workouts you have been doing would have helped you move fast. Sunday evening here and i guess i could do a workout but I chose not too, a good nights sleep and start fresh in the morning.

    Good night, Jen!

    Warm Up, Circuits 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5, Cool Down

2 weeks in: I have done 15 consecutive days. I have gone from feeling like I'm dying after 2.5 circuits and falling flat on the floor to feeling like I'm dying after 2.5 circuits but not falling on the floor until after 5 circuits are completed.

    Cheers!

    Hi CricketKate,

I started doing that DVD after the 30 DS in April and totally loved it...

I tried it again Monday after a 2 week holiday....I can hardly walk! I didn't get through the full DVD either, I did WU, 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 and CD. I only did 4 once through! It seems you're building it up gradually, perhaps I should have done that? It's bizarre though, when I did it earlier in the year it was after a 4 day break, and I went straight into doing the whole thing - I really did think that I was fitter this time round, but my thighs and biceps say differently!

Ooh, right after you tell me that I'm inspiring, I stopped doing it. I got a terrible cold and it took all of my energy just to keep my family functioning. (My husband was out of town, of course). I am having a hard time talking myself into starting again. I hope to start today.
