STOP talking about how bad it is to get older!

they say enjoy your youth....but people should really start enjoying getting older. your world does not stop once you turn 30 (or 50, or 80 for that matter), you are beautiful pre-menopausal and post menopausal, believe that those crows feet and smile lines are memories from your amazing past.

so, STOP with this "i hate getting old" stuff!! you are only as old as you think. so age gracefully, embrace each birthday, and accept all the new things that life is STILL offering and STILL teaching you. i know i am only 19 years of age but i suck the nectar out of life that is offered to me each day. and i plan on continuing to do so even if i am 91. YOU SHOULD TOO.

I'm 21, but look forward to writing an anti aging book when i am older...I have some unconventional methods which will be sure to help x3

ps: I mean this in a good way. I think it will be fun to have people guessing my age when I am older :D

Hear, Hear! I'm turning 40 in a little over a month and am really proud that I made it this far (crazy lifestyle made me doubt this would ever happen), I think we should embrace every moment, be thankful for every day, and make the most of it!

I'm thinking I finally have my act together, and that turning 40 is only the beginning to a whole new chapter. I can't wait!

And stay away from ostereoperosis drugs. They really make you sick. Say NO to your doctor and to Big Pharm!

I'm 32 and don't have a complaint in the world aging.

I do believe you are only as old as you make yourself to be, or feel.

Sure some things suck about getting older but the increased libido makes it all worth it. Wait til you hit your late 30s, early 40s ladies. Sexually, I kick my 20 year old self's *kitten*. Trust me, it gets so much better!

Great post. In just a little over two years and three months I'll be 60. I'm excited about it because I'll be a senior citizen at church and I'll be eligible to be named senior citizen of the week. Also I'll get to go to the head of the line with the other senior citizens during church potlucks.

I'm 41, and getting older does have some draw backs but there are draw backs to any age. I really try to live with the belief that age is just a number and life is what you make of it. And it sure is fun to see the shock on peoples face when they find out my age because I've been very lucky to always have been thought to be much younger than I really am.

I sucked alot of nectar at 19 too, but things do change, especially after 40. It's just kinda different, 'cause I really don't feel this age in my head. Honestly though, at 19 you can't even imagine the things that start to happen after 40. Still, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I agree, I'm having the time of my life right now and feel as good as I ever have, and I've been an active guy since the day I was born. I may not be as strong or fast as I once was but I'm in much better overall physical, emotional, and spiritual health now than at any other point in my life. LIFE IS GOOD !!!

Most of you are babies! I am 58 and didn't start running until I was 43. I have done 40 half marathons and 8 full marathons including one in Antarctica and Nepal. I have done several century bike rides and sprint triathlons. No more 'time of month'. I was fortunate to be able to retire early one year ago so now I have all day to bike, hike, run, do yoga, ski and I am learning to play bridge. I do some volunteer work and we moved to beautiful North Carolina last year. A bear walked through my yard tonight! I'm in the best shape of my life and I have friends well into their 70's who run marathons. I hope to be able to keep doing all of this until I keel over at age 100, hopefully while I am out on a trail or mountain somewhere! it is a great time of life!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention getting the senior discounts haha!

    .

You, m'lady, are an inspiration. I was depressed about getting older when I hit 30. But since I hit 40 seven years ago, I got a shot of something (not sure what that was) and now I'm back to acting and feeling like a 20 year old! Life is fun in every department!!! Hope I can be as active as you are when I'm 58!

OH, HELLS YEAH!! I guess I had my "mid-life crisis" when I turned 39. But it didn't last long. I went back to college. When I finished my 2 Associate degrees summa cum laude, I got a full academic scholarship from the university of my choice. I finished my Bachelors degree in '09, graduating magna cum laude. Now, I spend my time writing, making jewelry from recycled material and helping my husband decide where we want to settle when he retires. (Making a "scouting" trip to AZ next week.) I'm turning 52 a week from today -- we plan to spend most of it at the Grand Canyon! Life is better than ever - the house to ourselves and no pregnancy (or contraceptive) worries! All I want is to make my goal weight so we can enjoy traveling (and other "activities") with as much energy & stamina as ever! •_~. The "good ol days" are NOW.
